Role Overview
Build and maintain high-quality data pipelines that power our AI systems. As a Data Engineer, you will focus on ensuring the quality, reliability, and usefulness of data used for training and improving our models.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines for acquiring, ingesting, and processing large volumes of data
- Develop systems and processes to find, gather, filter, clean, deduplicate, and validate data
- Create and improve workflows that enhance data quality and remove noise or low-value content
- Prepare well-structured, high-quality datasets ready for model training and experimentation
- Build tools for data quality measurement, monitoring, and continuous improvement
- Work closely with AI Engineers to understand data needs and align pipelines with model training goals
- Identify and solve complex data-related challenges that impact model performance
Skills Required to Evolve in This Role
- Strong programming and systems engineering skills, especially for building reliable data pipelines
- Deep understanding of data quality issues and how they affect AI model outcomes
- Experience with data extraction, transformation, cleaning, and validation at scale
- Ability to design processes that prioritize high-quality, intelligence-focused data over sheer volume
- Analytical and problem-solving mindset when working with messy or unstructured data
- Collaboration skills to work effectively with AI and engineering teams
- Proactive ownership and drive to continuously improve data quality and pipeline efficiency
